So... after jumping out of the shower to put the fire out (don't ask), dressing in our warmest attire, downing the coffee and pulling up the fenders, we were off! Destination: Monterey. The SF buoy wave app showed the waves past the Golden Gate topping 3 feet at 12 sec, so we expected a calm and pleasant ride. However, the SF buoy has been officially renamed the BS buoy- total chop, like washing machine chop, that knocks your teeth around, made the first 5 hours A REALLY FUN EXPERIENCE!!! (keep eyes on the horizon, keep eyes on the horizon...) But schooner or later, the waves died down and we had a swell of a ride into beautiful Monterey.

So... these are our neighbors at the guest dock for the night. Ok. Will they settle down a bit if we invite them over for a glass of wine and ...anchovies? |

This looked really sweet, but on second glance not totally sure what is going on with the one underneath... |
 |
Beautiful little gems of marine life lining the dock. |

Captain B (from which he will now be referred) surrounded by the scent of BBQ salmon depicted visually by the halo. |
